Contact us and come experience Sierra de Guara canyoning! Technical canyons, canyon combinations, trips, training, and more.
This activity is designed for beginners, families, children, and individuals who want to enjoy canyoning without technical difficulties or high physical demands.
Examples: Petit Mascún Canyon, Barrasil Canyon, La Carruaca Canyon, etc.
Walking along the riverbed, swimming in pools, small siphon dives, slides, small jumps – these are some of the challenges you will encounter.
Designed for beginners with some prior experience, people with good physical condition, and agility in movement.
These descents have moderate technical difficulty and physical demands. Some of the highlights in Sierra de Guara include: Formiga Canyon, Oscuros de Balced, Peonera, Vero, or in the Pyrenees: Os Lucars, Furco, Siresa, etc.
These routes involve longer durations, greater progression through the riverbed, downclimbs, siphons, slides, and jumps from higher elevations. Expect rope-assisted progressions and rappels.
For individuals or groups with prior experience in intermediate canyoning descents. These are long-duration activities requiring excellent physical condition.

The most aquatic canyoning experience in Huesca, full of jumps of all heights, siphons that require diving through, and relaxing corridors where we can float and let ourselves drift. The first section is action-packed until we reach the Tamara spring, where the canyon opens up. After walking along the river for about 15 minutes, we dive back into the fun with more corridors and jumps, ending in the narrow section known as “Estrechos del Puntillo”, where we’ll enjoy the final and best jumps of the activity.

Description:
Perhaps the most playful canyoning route in Huesca. Along its narrow path between cliffs, we’ll find rappels, slides, siphons, and jumps. It is one of the five main canyons in the Sierra de Guara and is ideal for beginners.
It has two well-defined sections: the upper part, narrow and cold, where the main technical challenges are concentrated — these can be skipped when going with small children by entering through the Cueva de las Polvorosas, which marks the start of the second section. This second part is wider and filled with small jumps that guarantee fun throughout.

Elevation gain/loss: 60 m
Length: 1,500 m

Description:
Pure nature. After a long approach through a wild and rugged environment, we reach the riverbed where all the obstacles are concentrated. We’ll find slides, rappels, and siphons, and enter a labyrinth of massive boulders surrounded by towering walls. Eventually, we arrive at a narrow corridor where, if we time it right, a small beam of sunlight reveals tranquil turquoise waters.
After this peaceful moment, the action resumes with a rappel and a short jump section. A short yet intense canyon that demands good physical condition due to its remote location.

Elevation gain/loss: 240 m
Length: 2,500 m
Season: Spring – Summer
Description:
The crown jewel of the Sierra de Guara — its most famous canyon. Its narrow sections combined with the cave area make it a must for any canyoning enthusiast.
Arguably the best and most complete descent in the Sierra de Guara during spring. Rappels, jumps, downclimbs, dark sections, a cave… it has it all. The descent finishes near the Otín canyon; in this section, if the water flow is low, it will seep underground and won’t reappear until the Mascún springs.

Difficulty: V4 A1 II
Duration: 9 h (5′ approach, 1 h canyon, 20′ return)
Elevation gain/loss: 130 m
Length: 250 m
Season: Spring – Summer – Autumn (Check water flow conditions)
Description:
Canyoning in Huesca. Located on the left bank of the Vero River, downstream from the Lecina spring and across from the Basender. This is a dry canyon, like its neighbor, but features two impressive aerial rappels of 30 and 35 meters. The return follows the same route as the Basender canyon, so it’s essential to monitor the water level of the Vero River.
It can be combined with the Basender canyon.

Location: Rodellar
Difficulty: V2 A5 VI
Duration: 9 h (2:30 h approach, 5–6 h canyon, 1:30 h return)
Elevation gain/loss: 100 m
Length: 5,000 m
Season: Spring – Summer – Autumn
Description:
A limestone canyon with very cold waters, which can be divided into two sections: The first part extends from the beginning of the canyon to the Canal Alta. This is clearly the narrowest and deepest section. From this point, the canyon makes a sharp 90-degree turn to the left, where the narrows become more intermittent and the formation takes on more of a gorge-like appearance.
Between Os Ganchos and Estrecho Alto, we find a more continuous and sunken stretch.
Technically, it’s not a difficult canyon, but it does require good physical condition due to both the long approach and the descent itself.

Location: Yaso
Difficulty: V2 A2 IV
Duration: 2 h (15′ approach, 1:30 h canyon, 30′ return)
Elevation gain/loss: 20 m
Length: 120 m
Season: All year round (check water flow)
Description:
The descent features two rappels. The first is done in opposition to safely pass the waterfall. The second includes a handline (check rope condition or set up a retrievable system) and requires bypassing the waterfall, as rappelling directly into it leads to a siphon with no exit, which has already claimed the lives of four people.
From this point on, the canyon becomes a narrow section with spectacular rock formations and ends with a small final siphon.

Elevation gain/loss: 40 m
Length: 2,000 m
Season: Spring – Summer – Autumn
Description:
Known as Mascún Final, this descent is suitable for all audiences. It covers the stretch between Rodellar and the bridge. It presents no real technical difficulty, aside from swimming through the pools and enjoying the many jump opportunities it offers.
Just be cautious of high water levels in winter and early spring.
